By getting all the key stakeholders in a room to make a series of crucial decisions in one sitting, our client can dramatically reduce the time taken to develop a business case and gain approval. However, complex conversations require highly skilled facilitators to maintain control, ensure all perspectives are heard and drive outcomes.
To develop a bank of confident, skillful facilitators we worked with our client to develop two one-day skill development programs pitched at both the foundation and advanced levels. To provide flexibility and allow individuals to manage their time commitment, these programs were designed to build on each other and could be attended in isolation or together as a learning pathway.
The Fast-Track Advanced Facilitation program was targeted specifically at experienced facilitators who regularly manage Fast-Track facilitations, involving multiple stakeholders and conflicting perspectives. Designed to be a highly-practical and applied learning experience, learning methodology involved using case studies and participant profiles to explore the complexity of process facilitation through role play.
Outcomes achieved:
- Delegates were empowered with the skills to successfully engage a group, use personal energy and commitment to harness group creativity, use a range of techniques to provoke discussion and reach consensus, and confidently control and lead productive Fast-Track discussions.
- Business case time frames shrunk form 12 weeks to 4 weeks
- Reduced reliance on external facilitators leading to significant cost-savings
